Hi! I'm Sarah
For as long as I can remember, I've felt a connection to all animals; they are the purest creatures on this planet, and I find it absolutely amazing that we are able to walk alongside them throughout their lives.
With a Bachelor's in Women's Studies and a Master's in Nonprofit Management, I have worked in various professional IT roles throughout the years. I started pet sitting many years ago for friends and family as a side hobby and, in 2019, finally decided to make the leap, leaving my full time corporate position to pursue my passion for animal care. Over the past few years, I've been absolutely blessed with the most amazing clients, a wonderful, knowledgeable, dedicated team who my clients and I adore, and feel lucky every day to call this my job.

As a frequent traveler myself who has a beloved 19 year old kitty, Miss Pirate, I understand how important it is to know that your fur babies are receiving the same love as they would from you while you're away. Our team consists of a small but mighty group of dedicated, passionate, knowledgeable, certified pet care professionals who focus on safety, education, enrichment and professionalism, and who provide outstanding care while still having fun and giving plenty of cuddles to your beloved family members. So from dog walking to cat cuddles to medicine administration to litter box cleanup to plant watering to mail pickup, we're here to tackle all 'the things' so you can remain worry-free.

Our team is comprised of experienced, knowledgeable, dedicated pet care professionals who are honored to care for your pets and give them the love, care, and attention they deserve. Sarah the Sitter and its teammates are are all Bonded & Insured through Pet Sitter's Associates.

Experienced
All teammates have real world experience working in the pet care field either pet sitting, working at/volunteering at an animal shelter, and/or working in a veterinary office setting. They also receive on the job training directly from Sarah The Sitter, and have monthly team meetings, continuous on the job trainings, and more formal continuing education opportunities.
Certified
All teammates have either their Animal Red Cross CPR Certification or have been through an extensive 8 hour PetTech PetSavers course which covers everything from CPR to First Aid, dental and senior care, and general health and wellness. Some teammates have also passed the Certified Professional Pet Sitters Certification Exam through Pet Sitter's International.

All new clients require a complimentary meet and greet. Vacation visits also require 2 acclimation test visits prior to your vacation leave date, so please plan ahead and leave plenty of time to get scheduled.

Dog Walk Visit
Our most popular option! This 40 minute visit includes a walk around town, feeding if needed, fresh water, treats, playtime, and enrichment activities if time allows.
And...lots of cuddles!
Base Price: $27/visit
+$5 for each additional dog
+$10 before 9 a.m./after 6 p.m.
+$12 Weekends
+$15 Holidays
Meow Meow Visit
Cats are social creatures who need attention and love while you're away! This 25 minute visit includes feeding, watering, playtime, litter scooping, enrichment activities if time allows, and lots of cuddles! We can also accommodate longer visits if requested.

Base Price: $22/visit
+$5 for each additional cat
+$12 Weekends
+$15 Holidays

Doggy Adventures
This is a more in-depth outdoor adventure to either the local park or to your pet’s favorite hiking trail, etc. Transportation and cuddles are included, of course! Cost dependent on time frame andadventure.
Base Price: $35/visit
+$5 for each additional dog
+$10 before 9 a.m./after 6 p.m.
+$12 Weekends
+$15 Holidays
Vacation Packages
We're here to make sure your pets are as comfortable as possible in their own environment while you're away!
Our packages are personalized and include Breakfast, Midday and/or Dinner, and Bedtime visits. We also offer Overnight Visits from 9 p.m.-7 a.m. at your home, if desired. We do not offer boarding.

Speciality Visits
Chickens, Bunnies, Birds, Bearded Dragons...everyone needs love and attention! Also, if your pet has special needs such as medical administration (i.e. diabetic insulin), or needs specialized care for a few hours at a time (palliative care or wheelchair care with the need for constant supervision), we can accommodate longer visits.

Keeping your information and your pet's information safe and up to date is extremely important to us, so we use Time To Pet as our client database which is convenient and easy to use!
Time To Pet is 'trusted by over 3,000 of the world's most successful pet sitting and dog walking companies' and allows for secure and accurate, up to date storage of your personal information as well as your pet(s)' vital information.' It can be updated by you, the client, at any point in time using either the app or the desktop portal.
